Gloves giving protection from mechanical risks

Protection against mechanical hazards is expressed by a pictogram followed by four numbers (performance levels), each representing test performance against a specific hazard.

1 Resistance to abrasion
Based on the number of cycles required to abrade through the sample glove (abrasion by sandpaper under a stipulated pressure). The protection factor is then indicated on a scale from 1 to 4 depending on how many revolutions are required to make a hole in the material. The higher the number, the better the glove. See table below.

2 Blade cut resistance
Based on the number of cycles required to cut through the sample at a constant speed. The protection factor is then indicated on a scale from 1 to 4.

3 Tear resistance
Based on the amount of force required to tear the sample.
The protection factor is then indicated on a scale from 1 to 4.

4 Puncture resistance
Based on the amount of force required to pierce the sample with a standard sized point. The protection factor is then indicated on a scale from 1 to 4.

ESD – (Electrostatic Discharge)

ESD gloves are used to divert static electricity. Surface resistivitity is tested according to method specified in EN 1149-1 but test sample must meet the requirements EN1149-5.

These trousers are perfect for my job as an HGV driver. They are very comfortable, very well made and fit exactly as expected. I will be buying more of these in the future!

Best quality ''Hi-Vis'' for cyclists on the market ! Highest possible safety level
Tuesday, 7 August 2018  |  Martin

I first bought these waistcoats 2 years ago though Amazon from this manufacturer. Now I again ordered 5 for all my family and friends. We all are everyday cyclists. These are the only waistcoat-style sleeved Hi-Vis tops with extremely bright orange and yellow. Highest Safety level. Not only that: the way the colours are arranged make these Hi-Vis' extremely visible - we get a lot of comments on this . To have sleeves is important for cyclists since you indicate direction with your arms - with a "normal" vest this is a problem. The quality of these sleeved waistcoats is second to none: 2 years in DAILY use, Summer and Winter, washed approximately 5x and they still look perfectly fine and do what they should do. Okay, we had to fix a few seems which is perfectly and easily done, but otherwise a perfectly long lasting product. Colours DO NOT FADE either in Sun nor with time....
