Shipping & Delivery
Our carriers have from 1/10/21 notified us they will no longer make two attempted deliveries to all domestic addresses be they private or used for business, so should the first delivery fail, they will automatically take your parcel to a Drop point, to which is approximately within 3 miles from your home, the local drop off point is operated by a Royal mail operator, which it should be noted there collection times vary from Shop to shop. You will need to take with you the email or SMS notice with your collection notification, which is required by the Shop to release your parcel. The shops are holding parcels for 4 days, and we advise clients to arrange collection as soon a s possible.
Our aim is to dispatch all orders within 3-5 working days (please allow for public holidays).
Orders that include embellishments, including embroidery, printing and badges or bespoke additions/alterations, you should allow 7 to 8 working days for printing and 8 to 10 working days for embroidery to dispatch time, this is subject to the volume of the order.
Kindly note that some supply chains are affected by increased stock problems and reduced staffing, so please note the following are taking longer with deliveries:
Delivery cost starts from £5.50 based on the weight of the order with free shipping on all mainland UK orders of £150.00 (nett of delivery charge and VAT) or more per order, this is a tracked and signed for service, this does not constitute a next day service, please follow the tracking advice email and/or SMS message to make sure someone is available to sign for on arrival, or make arrangements to have your parcel delivered to a safe place, or nearby neighbour. to avoid there parcel being returned us. Parcels returned due to the incorrect address/s being supplied on ordering or failure to collect from a drop point within 48 hours will incur a redelivery charge.

Europe- All destinations are currently switched off and unavailable for direct DPU deliveries.
We have however launched a buyer collects service, this is available to all European destination and worldwide buyers.
The buyer orders online and selects Buyer collects in the delivery method, they complete order and when we have packed your order and it is ready for collection we will email you the size/s and weight/s of the parcel/consignment. The buyer can then arrange collection and delivery to there destination, below are some of the carriers and parcel companies being used by buyers during our roll out of this option, you as the buyer if you do not have an existing freight carrier can select and cont one of these companies. BK Safetywear do not at any time guarantee third party carriers this remains the choice of the buyer.
Exporting goods between the UK and EU, all items that are made in the UK and EU are free of duty unless stated by the local country of entry.
Item/s originating from countries outside the EU will be subject to the EU duty tariff for imported goods not manufactured in the EU.
Import Duties and Taxes.All duties/taxes are for the account of the consignee and are payable to the courier/transport company and/or their customs agent in the country of entry. We suggest all clients should contact their local customs office to verify the rate of duty/tax payable before making your purchase.
We as a company or our appointed agents will not accept responsibility for any duties and/or taxes levied against an item/s purchased from this website.
Australia, Canada, South Africa, Malaysia, New Zealand and USA
Delivery is quoted to order. Carriers are calculating carriage on a volumetric (size to weight) scale, we therefore need to know the products, quantity and sizes you require before quoting. Add to basket first, then click checkout once and register first. Finally please complete the form below and we will update your basket with the delivery cost.
Collection in Person (UK and export customers)
You can buy and collect from our Barnstaple (Devon) branch. All goods must be pre-ordered and paid via website or via telephone sales team prior to collection.
To request collection, add the items to the basket then click on "Select your Country" scroll down to "Buy & Collect (order first) Barnstaple depot only", then click on "Update Shopping List", this will delete any shipping charges originally shown, click "Checkout" we will then send you a dispatch email notifying you that the goods are available for collection and giving you details of how to collect etc.
Please do not proceed to collection point without prior authorisation or notification email.
Goods cannot be purchased at the collection point as it will not be our warehouse address, and the collection point will not hold all items sold on the website or hold credit card payment terminals.
Worldwide for export (ex works)
If you wish to arrange your own carrier, you can order online, and once we confirm your order is ready, you can send in your own carrier to collect your order. Once your carrier has collected and signed for your order, you are now liable for all their charges and insurance, should your carrier lose or not deliver your order, liability is the responsibility of the buyer and/or consignee.
